The one D Bodingtons seem to have come mainly from north east Warwickshire,
amongst families of two D Boddingtons, suggesting that the name arose
out of a misspelling.
Their occupations seem to have been, like the majority of the population
in those days, agriculture and related trades.
New Bodington families have developed after individuals or even whole
families emigrated to America, South Africa and Australia.
